ТРЕНОВСКИ БОРЧЕ е роден во Берово на 23 јули 1981 година. Дипломирал со особено висок успех (magna cum laude) во 2004 година на Економскиот факултет – Скопје при Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј “во Скопје. Во јуни 2009 година ги завршил постдипломските студии на Економскиот факултет во Скопје од областа на монетарна економија, а во септември 2013 година на истиот факултет, Треновски ја одбранува својата докторска дисертација на тема: „Клучните макроекономски политики во однос на современата економска криза“. По дипломирањето (2004 – 2006) работи кратко во Народната банка на Република Македонија, а од јуни 2006 година, Борче работи на Економскиот факултет на Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј “- Скопје на Катедрата за економија – каде во моментот го има звањето Вонреден професор.
Проф. Треновски е автор е на 4 книги од областа на економијата и економската политика, објавил повеќе од 130 публикации (индексирани научни трудови, трудови за политики, истражувачки монографии итн.) и има силна академска и истражувачка видливост во земјата/регионот во последните години (видете повеќе детали во делот “Публикации”).
Како експерт/аналитичар/истражувач, Проф. Треновски учествува во реализација на повеќе од 90 истражувачки/апликативни проекти во земјата и регионот, поддржани од страна на различни организации – УСАИД, ЕУ, ОСИ, МОТ, УНДП, ЕБРД, Светската банка, Швајцарската агенција за развој, ХЕЛВЕТАС итн. Како предавач и обучувач Треновски реализирал повеќе од 60 обуки за кои има развиено специјализирани модули и успеал да стекне големо искуство во соработката со различни институции и засегнати страни (видете повеќе во делот “Академски и професионални активности”).
Научно / истражувачко поле на интерес и голем број од неговите анализи/ истражувања,/публикации биле во областите: современи макроекономски теории, економска политика, економија на јавниот сектор, координација на фискалната и монетарната политика, ефикасноста на управувањето со јавните финансии, монетарната политика и финансиските пазари, фискалната политика и оданочување, добро управување, монетарна и фискална транспарентност и отчетност, локални финансии и децентрализација итн.
Проф. Треновски има учествувано во бројни меѓународни истражувачки конференции и семинари организирани од меѓународни институции ММФ, Светската банка, Универзитет во Илиноис во Чикаго, Стејт департментот на САД итн. Исто така Треновски како резултат на својата работа и искуство е член на многубројни стручни тела/здруженија/реформски и советодавни работни групи/тела во земјава и регионот. Од 2021 година тој е Член на Советот на Народната банка на Република Северна Македонија и член на Комитетот за оперативна монетарна политика.
Како резултат на својата работа Проф. Треновски е добитник на повеќе награди и признанија како најдобар истражувач и угледен економист – од Светската банка, Асоцијацијата на менаџери на Македонија, Народната банка на Република Северна Македонија, Универзитетот Св. Кирил и Методиј во Скопје итн.
