Gunter Merdzan was born on 17.07.1994 in Bitola. He finished high school in Resen. He graduated at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, Department of Economics, as the best student of the generation, in the academic year of 2016/2017, with an average grade of 9,94. In 2017, he started his second cycle studies at the same faculty within the Department of Economic Development and International Finance. Since then, he is working as a university teaching assistant at the Chair of Economy at University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Faculty of Economics – Skopje.
During his education at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, he was continuously awarded for his outstanding achievements in the educational process. In addition to be awarded, as the best student of the generation in the academic year 2016/2017, he was also awarded with “Gold Coin” by the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje.
Currently, he is working on his master’s thesis entitled as: “The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Labor Productivity”. The main objective of this thesis is to present the main trends in this field, to explain the benefits of technology and digitalization for the global economy as well as to elaborate the importance of preparing different segments of society for the effects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution into the global labor market and aims to show that the labor market will experience radical changes in the future. Recently, many studies and analysis confirmed that the world is at the beginning of a powerful process of transformation that will radically change our lives, ways of working and communicating. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is expected to improve the computerization of manufacturing industry and focuses on equipping the production with high technology.
His duties are doing scientific research, writing papers and articles in the field of technology and economic development for various international scientific journals and conferences. Meanwhile, he is a member of the Student Assembly of the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, and member of the Student Assembly of the Faculty of Economics – Skopje. Within these student organizations, he is an initiator and organizer of certain projects and events.
