Course objectives (competences):

The course Supply Chain Management analyzes the business relationships that exist between a company and its suppliers, as well as between the company and its customers. The goal of the course Supply Chain Management is to link market, distribution network, production and outsourcing in order to increase the level of services provided to consumers and reduce total costs. By adopting the knowledge of this course program, students will be able to:

  • Analyze the whole process of supply chain management, from raw materials to finished goods;
  • Analyze specific logistics situations;
  • Diagnose supply chain problems and suggest alternative solutions to these problems;
  • Apply the SCOR model;
  • Apply information technologies to integrate and manage supply chain logistics and management. 
Course content:

Interaction between logistics and supply chain management; Value chain; SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model; Demand and supply management; Production Management (MRP, ERP); Outsourcing; Forecasting; Inventory management; Distribution; Logistics applications; Logistics Information System; e-SCM.
