After completing the course, students should know:

•  The basic characteristics and tendencies of agricultural development
• Agricultural policy measures and their implementation
• Agricultural development policy as a precondition for economic development
• The position and the role of agriculture in the national economy, depending on the appropriately determined development and agricultural policy
• Problems in the agriculture and the ways for their resolution.

The study of the course Agricultural policy is aimed to help the students in getting familiar with the basic issues of the agricultural policy as part of the economic policy in every national economy. The knowledge about the agricultural policy is important for the entire socio-economic development due to the significance of the agriculture in the food production and its role as a resource base for numerous types of production activities. The course is taken in order to fully understand and master the main characteristics of the agriculture through appropriately determined developmental and agricultural policy.
