European Integration Training Center (EITC)

European Integration Training Center (EITC) is organizational unit of the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, the goal of which is to unite, promote and convey the overall relevant knowledge on European integration, through an institutionalized form of continuous education. The European Integration Training Centre (EITC) was introduced with the Tempus JEP_17013-2002 “Continuing Education in European Affairs: Establishment of European Integration Training Centre (EITC)” and officially is in function from 01.01.2007, at the Faculty of Economics, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje.

Actual EITC partner – institutions from the country are:

1) The Faculty of Economics-Skopje;

2) The Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” from Skopje;

3) The Faculty of Economics from Prilep;

4) The European Movement in the Republic of Macedonia;

5) The Secretariat for European Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia;

6) The Chamber of Commerce.

EITC has honorary partners being the following ones:

1) The College of Europe, from Bridge, Belgium and

2) The Center for European Studies at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Mission

То create a local core of experts (among the public administration, the business community, the academia, the media, the public and the private sector) who are going to specialize themselves in certain areas of European Integration, necessary for the process of the Republic of Macedonia’s becoming an EU member.

Vision

To contribute to the EITC growing into Regional European Integration Center by its spreading the scope of its activities in other countries which are into the process of stabilization and association.

Activities

Organizing and developing seminars and specializations intended for the public administration and the government sector, academia, business community, non-governmental institutions, media and all the other relevant subjects that have need and interest in upgrading both their knowledge and their education in the field of European integrations;
Designing and developing training courses (train-the-trainer) intended for target groups that work on various issues regarding the European integration;
Promoting and developing debates on European integration processes within the frameworks of the civil society as a whole;
Organizing conferences, workshops, summer schools etc. on issues regarding the European integrations.
