After completing this course, students should be able to: 

• Distinguish the quantitative, qualitative and mixed instruments of the foreign trading system and their key features;
• Understand the essence of exchange rate instruments and the basis of the exchange rate policy;
• Understand the foreign trading system and exchange system of Republic of Macedonia;
• Analyze the effects which the existing foreign trading system and foreign exchange system have on the international trade and the balance of payments of the Republic of Macedonia.

The course conceptually consists of three interrelated parts: the part that elaborates the concept and content of the foreign trading system and foreign trade policy; the part that deals with the notion and contents of the foreign exchange system and the foreign exchange policy and, the last part, which deals with the foreign trading system and foreign exchange system of the Republic of Macedonia.
