Проф. д-р Борче Треновски [1981] е редовен професор на Катедрата за економија на Економскиот факултет при Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје. Дипломира како истакнат студент (magna cum laude) во 2004 год. на Економскиот факултет при Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје, каде што ги завршува и постдипломските студии од областа на монетарната економија во 2009 год., а во септември 2013 година докторира на тезата „Клучните макроекономски политики во услови на современа економска криза“. По дипломирањето (2004 – 2006) работи краток период во Народната банка на Република Македонија, а од јуни 2006 година Треновски работи на Економскиот факултет – Скопје на Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј “- Скопје на Катедрата за економија.
Автор е на 4 книги, има објавено над 160 публикации (119 индексирани трудови во реномирани списанија и трудови за политиките, 49 истражувачки монографии), покажувајќи силна академска и експертска проникливост последниве години.
Како економски експерт Треновски има учествувано во над 100 истражувачки и апликативни проекти во земјата и регионот, поддржани од различни организации – УНДП, УСАИД, ЕУ, ЕБОР, Светската банка, ИРИ, Швајцарската агенција за развој, МОТ, ГИЗ, ОСИ итн.
Неговите бројни анализи, истражувања, публикации и учества во проекти во последните години се фокусирани на реформите во економската политика, координацијата на фискалната и монетарната политика, современите економски теории и политики, ефикасноста на управувањето со јавните финансии, монетарната политика и финансиските пазари, фискалната политика и оданочувањето, развојната економија, регионалниот развој, јавните политики, економијата на трудот, економијата на животна средина, доброто владеење и институционалниот развој, монетарната и фискалната транспарентност/отчетност, локалните финансии и децентрализацијата итн.
Како предавач/обучувач во изминатиот период Треновски има одржано повеќе од 90 обуки/стручни едукации и предавања за кои има изготвено специјализирани модули, успевајќи да стекне големо искуство во поврзувањето и соработката со различни чинители (министри, градоначалници, пратеници, државни ревизори, инспектори, организации од областа на граѓанското општество, општински советници, деловни субјекти, студенти, јавна администрација итн.).
Како дел од неговите академски, научни, истражувачки и проектни активности, Треновски е дел и од бројни меѓународни студиски посети, конференции, академски предавања реализирани во голем број земји – САД, Финска, Италија, Албанија, Турција, Словачка, Хрватска, Словенија, Бугарија, Србија, Австрија, Грција, Германија, Шпанија, Обединети Арапски Емирати и др. Учествува и на бројни меѓународни обуки и образовни програми организирани од меѓународни институции – ММФ, Светската банка, УНДП, Универзитетот во Илиноис во Чикаго, Стејт департментот на САД, АТТФ Луксембург и други реномирани меѓународни институции и организации.
Треновски има значаен придонес во развојот и изработката на повеќе од 40 национални и локални стратешки документи, каде од посебна важност е неговата улога како клучен експерт при креирањето на највисокиот национален стратешки документ – Националната развојна стратегија 2024-2044, понатаму Националната стратегија за регионален развој 2021-2031, Економските основи за Просторниот план на Република Северна МАкедонија 2023-2043 итн. Дополнително, забележливи се неговите активности за унапредување на легислативата во доменот на доброто управување/јавните финансии/ регионалниот/локалниот развој/образованието, како и во детектирање на реформските потреби во повеќе економски области.
Како резултат на својата работа и искуство проф. Треновски е член на бројни професионални тела/здруженија/реформски и советодавни работни групи како што се: член на Советот на Центарот за стратегиски истражувања при МАНУ (2022-2026); Почесен член на Асоцијацијата на пазарни техничари во Југоисточна Европа (SEEMT); член на Алијансата за родова еднаквост на работното место; член на Советот на Народната банка на Република Северна Македонија, како и член на Комитетот за оперативна монетарна политика при Народната банка (2021-2028) и многу други.
Исто така, проф. Треновски е добитник на повеќе награди и признанија за најдобар истражувач и реномиран економист како што се: добитник на највисокaта награда на Универзитетот „Св. Кирил и Методиј“ во Скопје за најдобар научник и истражувач кој покажал исклучителни резултати во научноистражувачката и образовната дејност од областа на општествените и хуманистичките науки (2020); добитник на најпрестижната награда од областа на макроекономијата во С. Македонија – Прва награда за најдобар труд во областа на макроекономијата за 2014 година, доделена од страна на Народна Банка на Република Македонија; прва награда од Светската Банка за најдобро истражување во земјава, во областа на утврдување на факторите кои обезбедуваат дека бенефитите од економскиот раст ќе ги почувствуваат сите граѓани и утврдување на клучните предизвици за обезбедување одржлив економски раст (2017); посебно признание за Истакнат економист со посебен придонес во областа на економијата, доделена од страна на Здружението на Менаџери на Македонија (2017) и др.
Проф. Треновски, како респектиран економист/економски аналитичар, исто така има силна видливост во јавноста – со повеќе од 500 интервјуа, ТВ-гостувања, искажани стручни ставови, напишани текстови во весници и стручни списанија во земјата и регионот.
