Dragan Tevdovski is economist with 15+ years’ experience in both public sector and academic institutions contributing policy recommendations and research. As Minister for Finance in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia created the first country’s public financial management (PFM) reform strategy in 2017. During the term (2017-2019), with strong support of the World Bank, IMF, EU and USA, the Ministry of finance implemented various reforms that commit to accountable governance. As a result, at the end of the term (2019), the country improved credit rating for the first time since 2006 (after 13 years).

He has a strong experience in programs and projects funded by UN system of organizations. He was Advisor to Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC in the period 2020 – 2022. In addition, he was member of the Committee for the integration of the Republic of North Macedonia in NATO, as well as Governor for the Republic of North Macedonia in the World Bank and in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

He is a Full-time Professor at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, University “St. Cyril and Methodius”, teaching the following courses: Statistics for business and economics; Quantitative methods in finance (undergraduate level); Demographic methods and analysis; Time series analysis (postgraduate level) and Statistical analysis (doctoral level). He won of the Best Scientist Award at the University St. Cyril and Methodius in the field of social sciences in 2015. He was also multiple times selected as one of the most inspiring professors in North Macedonia by the students’ surveys (Fakulteti.mk).

Professor Dragan Tevdovski research focuses on applied econometrics, finance and macroeconomic policies. His articles have been published in various international journals, indexed in Web of Science or Scopus. He is author of two university textbooks: Introduction in time series analysis and Statistics for business and economics, as well as one book: The way forward.

He has a Post-Doc. at the Center for Research in Econometric Analysis of Time Series (CREATES),  Aarhus University in Denmark (2014), Ph.D. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University “St. Cyril and Methodius” (2010), and M.Sc. in Statistical Analysis, from the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, Serbia (2006).
