Prof. Dr. Ljupco Eftimov was born on November 18, 1978 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.
He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Skopje, at the Department of Management in 2004, and immediately after graduation he continued his education at the postgraduate level MBA – Management at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje. After passing the scheduled exams on May 13, 2009, he successfully defended his master’s thesis on the topic: “Evolution of measurement and management of organizational performance”, at the Faculty of Economics-Skopje, R. Macedonia and obtained the scientific degree of Master of Science in the field of MBA Management.
He submitted his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Application of the Balanced Scorecard system for managing organizational performance in higher education in R. Macedonia ” in 2009 at the Faculty of Economics-Skopje, R. Macedonia, and successfully defended it on September 13, 2012, thus obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Economics.
Ljupco Eftimov was elected for the first time as a Junior Assistant at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje on the subjects of Enterprise Economics and Human Resource Management on January 17, 2005. After completing his master’s degree, in June 2009, Dr. Eftimov Ljupcho was last elected an Assistant on the subjects of Enterprise Economics and Human Resource Management. On November 30, 2012, he was elected Assistant Professor on the subject of Human Resource Management. On 31.08.2017 he was elected Associate Professor on the subjects of Human Resource Management and Performance Management.
On the first cycle of studies, he teaches the subjects Human Resource Management and Performance Management. On the second cycle of studies, he teaches Human Resource Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Performance Management and Development of Professional Employment Skills. Since 2013, he has been the Head of the study program of the second cycle of studies in Strategic Human Resource Management.
Of particular importance for his professional advancement are the numerous domestic and international trainings, courses, seminars, workshops, professional forums, conferences, conferences and study visits in which he has participated in the field of Human Resource Management and Organizational Performance Management. In 2006 he won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship awarded by the Open Society Institute and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as a professional researcher in the field of Human Resource Management and Organizational Performance Management and a nine-month study visit to the prestigious Oxford University, Oxford, UK
He is the author of several professional and scientific papers published in domestic and international journals and conferences. He is part of the author teams of a university textbook, a monograph and the author of an internal lecture script.
In his work experience he has appeared several times in the role of a member of the organizing boards of important international and domestic scientific conferences, and recently he has been a member of the editorial boards in several international and domestic scientific journals: Journal of Human Resource Management – Slovakia, Macedonian HRM Journal, Annual of the Faculty of Economics-Skopje.
In addition to the academic experience, Prof. Dr. Ljupcho Eftimov also has rich professional experience. He is currently performing the following functions:
Areas of his scientific interest are human resource management, performance management, educational management, as well as the management of the movements of educated staff inside and outside the state borders (brain drain and brain gain).
