Katerina Tosevska – Trpcevska was born in Skopje on 15.02.1979. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje – Republic of Macedonia; Master of Science degree in Economics, International Trade from the Faculty of Economics, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje – Republic of Macedonia. In 2012 she defended her Ph. D. thesis with the title “Trade Facilitation in the Contemporary Multilateral Trading System” at the Faculty of Economics, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje.
Since 2001 she is employed at the Faculty of Economics, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje – Republic of Macedonia, first as a Junior Teaching Assistant, and in 2018 she was elected as Associate professor on Multilateral Trading System, International Trade Transactions and Multilateral Trade Regulation. She also teaches Regional Trade Agreements and WTO at Postgraduate European Studies.
During her university career she has published more than thirty papers, participated in more than sixty domestic and international conferences, seminars and workshops and done four study visits abroad: at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany, at Porto Accounting and Business School – ISCAP of the Instituto Politecnico do Porto in Porto, Portugal, at the George Washington University in Washington, USA; and at the Faculty of Economics on the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal. Among the seminars special attention deserve the participation at the 12th WIPO-WTO Colloquim for Teachers of Intellectual Property organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva in 2015 and participation at the 24 Regional course on Key Aspects on the International Economic Agenda in the Countries of Transition” in organization of UNCTAD at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia.
She has been actively involved in two international projects: Tempus project JEP_17013-2002 “Continuing Education in European Affairs: Establishment of European Integration Training Centre”, Faculty of Economics – Skopje, Macedonia, first as a trainee and after words as a trainer; and ASO Project “The Role of Education for the Duration of Unemployment”, Faculty for Business and Economics, Maribor, Slovenia, as a coordinator and participant. She has participated in the national research project: “Introducing the Authorized Economic Operator Concept in Republic of Macedonia according the Rules of the World Trade Organization” approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of RM and in the scientific project “Study to Measure Clearance and Release of Goods Time” approved by the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, Faculty of Economics – Skopje.
