Todor Tocev was born on 04.10.1996 in Skopje, where he started and continues his continuous professional development. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics – Skopje at UKIM in Skopje in 2019 at the department of accounting and auditing. In the same year, he was selected as a demonstrator of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, and also an active student of the second cycle of Accounting and Auditing studies at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje. He graduated in June 2021, achieving an average grade of 10.00 and successfully defending his master’s thesis on the topic: “Big data and data analysis in modern audit engagements – an empirical analysis of the attitude and perception of the domestic audit practice”. In November 2022, he has started his PhD studies at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje at UKIM, on the study program Economic Sciences, Accounting area.

With the selection of the associate title of Assistant in the scientific field of accounting, on November 26, 2021, he was employed at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje, at UKIM.

In his professional development so far (2023), Todor is the author and co-author of more than 12 scientific research papers and has participated in more than 10 international scientific conferences. Starting in 2023, he is involved in the project entitled: “Upskilling researchers for sustainable entrepreneurship based on innovation process management – USE IPM”, financed by the EU through the Horizon WIDERA 2022-TALENT-03 program, as a young researcher. So far, he has made an academic visit to Strasbourg, France. He is also actively engaged and a participant in projects, trainings, workshops and consulting services organized by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) Slovenia, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) United Kingdom, the Institute of Certified Auditors of the Republic of North Macedonia (ICARNM), the Association of Internal Auditors of North Macedonia (IIA – North Macedonia) and the company UNITY from Texas, USA.
