Course objectives (competences):
The course Operations strategy will introduce students to the design, implementation and measuring the execution of an operations strategy for the purpose of creating competitive advantage for a company. By adopting the knowledge of this course program, students will be able to:
- Identify the key elements of an operations strategy and their link to value added chains and value networks;
- Use a system for monitoring and measuring the performance of the operations strategy;
- Exploit the potential of information systems to support the implementation of the operations strategy in practice;
- Integrate and harmonize the decisions of operations in different company business units with company strategy.
