E-Business – First cycle study program 2022/23

The goal of the study program in E-BUSINESS is to enable students to acquire in-depth knowledge in the field of business information systems and e-business, as well as specific skills for applying this knowledge in practice. To achieve these goals, the study program deals with the theoretical aspects of this field, focusing on their practical application.

By acquiring the knowledge of this study program, the student is expected to demonstrate the following knowledge, abilities and skills:

Knowledge and understanding

  • Acquires in-depth knowledge of modern world practices in the field of e-business and e-commerce;
  • Acquires knowledge in the field of the digital economy and the creation of value in the digital economy;
  • Acquires knowledge in the field of business information systems, ICT management, network markets and competition;
  • Acquires the ability and knowledge to support the digitization and business strategy of enterprises;
  • Acquires knowledge in the field of digital marketing, customer relationship management systems, complex network communications, as well as the use of social media in the direction of realizing business strategies;
  • Acquisition of knowledge in the field of supply chain management and their connection with the chains of creation of added value in production and value networks;
  • Acquires necessary knowledge and skills for defining and analyzing business processes, as well as managing them in order to improve organizational performance;
  • Gains knowledge about the basic elements of computer programming languages ​​for development, implementation and management of business applications;
  • Acquires knowledge about specific software tools implemented in enterprises, presenting them from a theoretical and practical point of view

Application of knowledge and understanding

  • Ability to design, create, implement and manage e-business solutions and web-based information systems in accordance with the organizations’ strategic goals;
  • To apply theoretical knowledge with the help of which he successfully develops an internet marketing communication plan;
  • To use the potential of information systems for digitalization of the supply chain;
  • Independently combines and develops a plan on how appropriate ICT can be used by companies to support the implementation of e-business;
  • To use the latest technologies and trends in the development of web solutions, to create a web site and to apply the basic rules and tools for creating web content;
  • To use data from research, transactions, internet, social networks, etc. to measure and manage relationships with consumers;
  • To apply the potential of information systems to support the implementation of the CRM concept in business practice
  • Applies theoretical principles for implementing software tools for business operations;
  • To apply the acquired skills in real scenarios.

Assessment ability

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze e-business processes and identify relevant information, necessary for managing these processes;
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and collect relevant primary and secondary data, necessary for researching the problems and situations faced by companies in the digital environment;
  • Students will be able to determine/evaluate and implement an appropriate methodology for the development of information systems;
  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze data and interpret the obtained results and apply them in the direction of improving the competitiveness of enterprises in the global digital environment.

Communication skills

  • Shows the ability for teamwork, initiates discussions, but also actively listens to the interlocutor.
  • Successfully applies the principles and codes of professional business communication.
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully present the results obtained from the conducted research projects.
  • Possesses an understanding of the psychological processes underlying human behavior in general, as well as interactions with ICT.

Learning skills

  • Possesses developed learning skills – reading, memorizing, listening, interactive participation, observation and analysis.
  • Demonstrates the ability to critically evaluate the presented ideas, offers original solutions and successfully copes with each assigned task.
  • Recognizes own interests in the field of e-business and successfully acquires new knowledge and skills.
